Craft Insights: Chikankari is a beautiful expression of creativity, where wooden blocks are meticulously carved by hand into intricate patterns. These blocks are used to apply natural dyes onto fabric, forming the foundation for the craft. Skilled artisans then bring the design to life with delicate needlework, utilizing a wide array of embroidery techniques.

There are 32 distinct Chikankari stitches, which are generally grouped into three categories: Raised stitches, Embossed stitches, and Flat stitches. Each type adds unique texture and depth to the fabric.
